Jacky Blair, 78, of Cleveland and Ooltewah, TN. passed away on Saturday, December 07, 2019 at Memorial Hospital of congestive heart failure.
Jacky was born on January 24, 1941 in Apison, TN, to the late Floyd and Noal Blair.
Jacky loved being outdoors on the farm, bushogging or grading the road on the tractor, fishing, working on cars, & loved to relax watching a good ole’ western. Throughout his life, he worked for Chris Craft Industries building boats, then Dixie Yarns, & finally retired as a maintenance engineer with Flowers Baking Company after 35 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy, Doyle, Willard, Marvin, Donald; and sister, Mildred.
He leaves behind his sister, Sue Commons; son, Tim Blair; daughter, Kathy Howell (Blair); and, 3 grandkids Zach, Loren, & Ayden Howell who will always cherish their memories with their Papaw.
Those who knew Jacky know he didn’t like being fussed over so in lieu of funeral services, and to honor Jacky’s life, we ask that all who wish to participate make a donation to the American Heart Association at www2.heart.org on the 79th anniversary of his birth, January 24, 2020.
His ashes will be spread on the farm he loved and spent most of his life on at a later date.
