AGNES SCHROEDER

Agnes F. Schroeder, age 92, of 3216 Adams St., Two Rivers, died Saturday, October 28, 2000, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Karen.


Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2000, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. William G. O'Brien. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.


Agnes was born June 25, 1908, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Jan and Agnieszka Vnuk Glyzewski. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Manitowoc. She then became employed at the Aluminum Goods, while attending night vocational school to become a beautician. She then worked for Friedl's Beauty Shop in Manitowoc for a number of years and later worked at Little Paris Beauty Shop in Two Rivers. Agnes was also a volunteer beautician for Shady Lane Nursing Home for many years. On October 4, 1937, she was married to Hilary J. Schroeder at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death February 25, 1996. Mrs. Schroeder was a member of the third Order of St. Francis and the Ladies of Holy Redeemer. She enjoyed baking, crocheting afghans and time spent with her family.


Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Karen Schroeder, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Dr. Terry Scheer, Manitowoc; Christine and Gregory Kordecki, Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Mary (Fred) Foresterling, Michael (Paula) Scheer, John (Renate) Scheer, Carol (Kraig) Kohlmeier, Tim (Karen) Schroeder, Veronica Schroeder and special friend, Christopher Skudlarczyk, Hilary (MaZi Hong) Kordecki; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Lucille Luebke, Manitowoc. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Gary Schroeder, Two Rivers; a sister-in-law, Katherine Doleschal, Madison. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph, three brothers and four sisters.


Friends may call at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church after 4 p.m. on Thursday, until the time of mass at 5 p.m.


Memorials may be made to Two Rivers Catholic Central School.
