On the 06 Jan 1920 US Census, Arnold was living with his family in Big Prairie, New Madrid, Missouri.

In July of 1939, several newspapers in Shoals, Martin, Indiana reported that Arnold was sentenced to 120 days in the State Prison for stealing a jar of pennies from his farmer employer, James Salmon.

On 14 Apr 1942, a newspaper in Sikeston, Scott, Missouri reported that the State Auditor, Forrest Smith, Jefferson City, mailed a State Treasurer's check to Emil Steck, Treasurer of Scott County, to cover all criminal costs due from the State in sixteen cases, including one for Arnold Goldsberry.

Arnold W Goldsberry married Mary Parker Adams (born 12 Oct 1909 in Arkansas) who had previously married Willis Plese "Bud" Adams (1909-1995) on 02 Mar 1924 in Hampton, Calhoun, Arkansas. They had a daughter, Almarie Adams in 1926 in the same location. Willis and Mary divorced on 14 Jul 1934 in Craighead, Arkansas. Willis remarried to Allie Evelyn Wisehert on 21 Dec 1935.
