Robert "Bill" William Brown, 68, of Crozet, died at a local hospital on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.
Born on August 2, 1938, son of the late Troy A. Brown and Mary F. Phillips. He was preceded in death by his wife, Athena Zervos Brown in l994; a stepbrother, William F. Phillips and a stepfather, John A. Phillips Sr.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathy B, Martin of Bloomington, Illinois, Tracy B. McGlothlin and her husband, Richard, of Crozet; and Kimberly S. Brown of Crozet; one stepbrother, John Phillips of Maryland; six grandchildren, Eric, Brittany and Damian Martin, Kyle McGlothlin, Brandon and Cameron Shifflett; a cousin, Charles "Eddie" Bibb; a nephew, Michael Morris of Stoney Point; and aunt, Shirley Hunt of Keswick. He had a very special neighbor/friend, Chris Morris.
He retired from State Farm Insurance Company in l993, with 32 years of service. Bill was a past Trustee of the Charlottesville Elks Lodge 389 and a member of the Crozet Sportsman's Club.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the Rockgate Cemetery with Pastor Tom Reynolds officiating.
