Lyda Evelyn Davis, 85, Minot, formerly of Rolette, ND, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Unsong Assisted Living in Minot.
Lyda Evelyn Fish was born on January 6, 1934, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Slough) Fish in Rolette. She was raised in Rolette and attended Rolette schools.
On March 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ronald W. Davis in Rolette. They made their home in Rolette and raised their 6 children. Ronald passed away on November 26, 1985. Lyda worked as a bookkeeper for John Deere in Rolette. She also worked as a kitchen aid at Rolette Nursing Home. She loved playing music with her parents and for church services.
Her loving family includes: sons, Michael (Barb) Davis, Rolette, Paul (Sherry) Davis, Rugby, ND, and Dennis Davis, Fargo, ND; daughters, Jocelyn (Terry) Malo, Big Lake, MN, and Lisa (Lance) Mohl, Minot; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Kathy (Keith) Toney, Humboldt, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lyda was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 34 years Ronald; son, Allan; brother Lyle; sister Leslie (Orris) Halvorson; daughter-in-law Mona Davis; grandsons, Gregory Davis and Jason Malo; and great-grandsons, Jason and Michael Cutsforth.
