Deanna Mae Kurian, 74, passed away August 21, 2018 at her home in Kansas City.
Deanna was born July 24, 1944 in Centerville, Iowa, the oldest of five children of Eugene Thompson Kelley and Ella Christine (Davison) Kelley. Deanna loved to entertain, and she wore many hats: mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, grandmother, and even though she didn't like it, "Old Grandma."
Deanna was preceded in death by twin siblings in infancy, her parents, a sister, Sheila Irelan, and her former husband, Larry DeMent.
She is survived by her children, Neil DeMent and Sherrie Elms (husband, Buddy); grandchildren: Amber Jordan, Nigel DeMent, and Trant Moody; great grandchildren: Joshua, Jakob, and Abigail Jordan; sister, Pam Stewart; brothers, Chipper Kelley and Eric Kelley (wife, Jolynn); her former husband, Ray Kurian, and his children; and many nieces and nephews.
