Shari was a very patient, loving and caring Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. She was an active member of the Democratic National Party, enjoyed politics, painting and crafts, and engaged herself in community activities throughout her life.
Living for several years in Copemish, Michigan, she was a member of the Copemish Village Council and championed CETA grants under Presidents Carter’s administration which initiated major improvements to several parks in the Copemish area, those of which are enjoyed today.
She was a licensed Real Estate Agent, and also a successful business owner. Starting a ceramics arts and crafts shop in Copemish she named “Sharamics by Shari” in which several of the community enjoyed. She also authored a book on Nostradamus which is still under consideration for publication.
She was an active member of the Two Rivers community and for more than 20 years, researched and documented graveyards across several communities in the area to enable people to find their relatives through genealogy sites. She was awarded The Preservation Service Award from the National Historic Society of Manitowoc County for Genealogy, helping 1000’s of people to find their loved ones. Among Shari’s likes were having family around, reading, fishing, genealogy, and being named the Strawberry Queen of Michigan in her younger years. Among Shari’s dislikes were cooking venison at 3 o’clock in the morning, eating caught fish (at 3 o’clock in the morning or ever), Fox News, and above all, Donald J. Trump.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Milks of Two Rivers, WI, and 3 sons, Rob, Jim, and Bill, and a daughter Sue. Granddaughters, Amissa, Nikki, Kelly, Krissy; Grandsons, Billy, Huey, Aaron, Tyler, Joe; Great Grand Kids, Viv and Easton. We all loved her.
