Mrs. Nettie Lucille Keeney, 84, of Coleman, died Sunday, August 28, 1988 at 5:00 a.m. at Anson Place Nursing Home in Abilene. Services will be today (Tuesday, Aug. 30) at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Raymond Dunn officiating. Interment will be in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.
She was born March 26, 1904 in Coleman to Robert and Rhoda Greaves. A long-time resident of Coleman, she married William E. (Dago) Keeney on October 11, 1924 in Coleman and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was a housewife and member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors includes four daughters, Billie Moore of Lubbock, Charlsie Parker of Abilene, Betty Alford of Abilene, and Patsy Martin of Anson; two sons, Cecil of Sweetwater and Donald R. of Coleman; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mark Greaves, Ed Greaves, Edgar Greaves, James Hargett, J. P. Miller, Jr. and Cleo Edington. Honorary pallbearers are Thelbert Elkins, Roy Gardner and Willie Henderson.
