Born Dec. 23, 1902, in Bell county he married Nettie Lucille Greaves Oct. 11, 1924, in Coleman. He had lived in Coleman County most of his life and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Billie Moore of Lubbock, Charlsie Jean Parker and Mrs. Betty Alford, both of Abilene, and Mrs. Patsy Martin of Anson; two sons, Cecil of Sweetwater and Donald of Coleman; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Walton of Roswell, N.M., Mrs. Della Braum of Shokan, N.Y., and Mrs. Marcell Sikes of Brownwood; a brother, Jim of Bosque Farms, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
