MARY ANDERSON was born in the year 1792, in the Barnwell District of South Carolina. She died Circa 1840, at age 48, in Thomas County, Georgia. MARY was the first child born to JOSEPH ANDERSON (1758-1848) and his wife, SARAH (1770-1855).
MARY had seven known siblings 1. JOHN F. (1794-1876), 2. SARAH (1796-1871), 3. PENELOPE (1798-1883), 4. MOSES (1800-1870), 5. NANCY (1802-1886), 6. FANNY (1806-1837) and 7. VICEY (1808-1886).
Prior to 1809, MARY's parents moved the entire family and all belongings to Bulloch County, Georgia. Her father acquired 500 acres of land there and began farming as land was cleared for that purpose. MARY lived with her parents until she married WILLIAM MIKELL (1770-1850) in Bulloch County, Georgia, on November 21, 1809. In 1827, MARY and WILLIAM followed her parents and several other family members to the newly created Thomas County, Georgia area which borders the Florida State Line.

MARY and her husband WILLIAM MIKELL had at least 5 children, ELIZABETH MIKELL (1811-1850) [who married 1st Richard Freeman and 2nd Green B. Walker], JOHN MICKELL (1813-1870) who married MARY DAWKINS, JOSIAH MIKELL (1817-1860), SARAH MIKELL (1818-1850) who married SAMPSON RODDENBERRY (1816-1901)], WILLIAM MIKELL (1819-1880) who married JANE DAWKINS.
