Wilbert Adam was the younger of two sons born to Adam & Victoria (Wrublewski) Rezachek. He completed high school & on 20 of November of 1942 joined the US Navy.

After completing recruit training at RTC Great Lakes, IL; he reported to the Amphibious Base at Norfolk, VA for initial specialization training. He then helped commission the ship he served on throughout his years of service -- Landing Craft Infantry-Large (LCI-791). "Whimpy" was discharged at the end of WW-II as a Pharmacist Mate First Class (E-6).

"Upon returning home, "Whimpy" passed on the GI Bill & went to work. After a couple of short term jobs he was hired by Hamilton Manufacturing. He worked for over 40 years before retiring. He started out on the factory floor building cabinets (using a combination of stock pieces and wood & other materials that he had to mill to fit) before going on to work in the labs on special projects. After showcasing his skills, he went on to work as a draftsman, designing cabinets to customer specifications. When the company made the shift to computer-aided design, he received specialized training. He often would travel to meet with customers to clarify their desired needs & expectations before returning to Two Rivers to complete the design of the project. "Whimpy" retired as a Graphic Systems Operator from Hamilton Manufacturing in 1988.

"He was an avid golfer; loved dancing; enjoyed many years of playing softball for the Sport Bar; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing sheepshead. He was active and served on various committees while a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was currently a member of the Men of Saint Peter the Fisherman Parish.

"Above all, "Whimpy" enjoyed the time with his family, especially his grandkids & great grandkids and all their activities."
