Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Exie Congregational Holiness Church for Rebecca Mae Meeks Abernathy, 36, Centre, who died Saturday, June 15, 1991. The Revs. Charles Robertson, James Rainey, Jerry Miller and Mark Willingham will officiate. Burial in Cherokee Memory Gardens. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Abernathy was a native of Rome, Georgia, and was a member of Exie Congregational Holiness Church.
She is survived by daughters, Tammy Renee Abernathy and Pamela Elaine Abernathy, both of Centre, Route 4; parents, Harry and Myrtle Meeks; sisters, Harriet Faye Kerr, Centre, and Teresa Sue Morgan, Piedmont; and brother, Robert Thomas Meeks, Centre.
Pallbearers will be Ted Roads, Chad Traffanstedt, Alan Butler, Gary Kerr, Mathew Bell and Jim McReynolds. The body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
