David "Boo" Smith of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, December 19, 2019 at 10:30 at the Living Word Worship Center, 8 Covington Road, Natchez, . Burial will follow at the Milford Church Cemetery in Natchez under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Pastor Dwight Greene will officiate.

Mr. Smith, son of Ed and Pearl Cable Smith was born in Vidalia and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.

He was a faithful member of Zion Flower Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Wilson Ford. He was also a member of the choir and later served on the usher board, and a member of the Cloverhill Lodge #13.

Mr. Smith was untied in holy matrimony to the late Elvia "Helpsie " Rice Smith and to this union seven children were nourished. Proir to this union were two daughters, Pearl Long and the late Rosie Lee Matchett. He is also preceded in death by another daughter, Gwendolyn Y. Rice; four siblings, Damus Smith, Sr., Lubertha Smith, Lige Smith and Pearl Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Eric Smith (Tracy); Sandra Ellis, Pamela Redmond, Kenneth Rice, Iris Rice-Robinson (Gary); Tammetria Brown (Eric); Pearl Long; special grandson, William D. Minor, Jr. and a special niece, Gerry D. Ellis.

Active pallbearers are Torrey Groce, Steven Davis, Sr., Jamal McCullen, Darrick Lewis, Lance K. Reed, and Ron Morales. Honorary pallbearers are Eric C. Smith, Ryan D. Smith, Damus Smith, Jr., Kenny R. Stewart, Kenneth M. Rice, William Minor, Jr., Robert Ellis, Timothy Washington and Freddie Woodfork.
