(1945 - 1993)


Kenneth V. Monka, age 48, of 5000 N. Melvian Avenue, Chicago, Ill., died unexpectedly Sunday, May 23, 1993, at an Illinois Masonic Hospital, following a brief illness.


He was born April 16, 1945, in Two Rivers, son of the late Irene and Zeno Monka. He was educated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church School and Washington High School, Two Rivers. Ken served in the United States Army in Vietnam and received an associate degree from MATC, Milwaukee, for Photography.


He is survived by three brothers, Richard and Phyllis Monka, Merrill, Wis., Ron and Gail Monka, Manitowoc, John and Shelly Monka, Two Rivers; two sisters, Rosemary and Lee Heideman, Two Rivers, and Mary Jo and Glenn Haban, Florence, S.C.; and aunt and uncle, Leonona and Jospeh Mancheski, Manitowoc; a special friend, Jerry Gibson, Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law.


There will be no visitation at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date, with cremation having taken place.

Ken was a kind and gentle man who was loved by his family and he will be deeply missed by all.
