DON OLSON, JR.
(1951 - 1997)

After years of suffering, Don Olson, Jr., of Madison, finally lost his battle with alcoholism on January 11, 1997. He was 45.

Don was born February 25, 1951, in Two Rivers. He was a graduate of St. Luke's Grade School, Washington High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also attended the University's Law School.

From adolescence on, music was Don's passion. During his life he played in a number of local and regional bands. At the time of his death, he was employed at the Wisconsin Survey Research Laboratory, a division of the University of Wisconsin Extension.

Don is survived by his mother Modesta, of Two Rivers; his sister Marian, of Milwaukee; his sister Elizabeth and her husband Kent Gallaway, of Ripon; and his special friend, Mary Kornely, of Madison. He was preceded in death by his father, Atty. Don Olson, Sr.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Don will be missed by his family and friends who loved him very much. Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, assisted the family.
