(1928 - 1999)

Therese A. Omernick, age 79, of 1208 Tanglewood Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, April 6, 1999, at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 1999, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Mass will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M.

She was born July 20, 1928, in Racine, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Agnes L. Hein Jagemann. On October 9, 1948, she married Gregory R. Omernick, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1997. Mrs. Omernick was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary and Altar Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Kriss Kiel; four sons, Michael, Patrick, Robert and Gary; daughters-in-law, Terri, Deidre, and Peggy; eight grandchildren, Brady, Maggie and Lauren Kiel, Shannon Haase, Erin Dvorachek, Nathan, Tyler and Dylan Omernick; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Jack Kiel; three brothers, Joseph N. Jagemann and his wife, Dottie, Paul G. Jagemann and his wife, Pauline, special confidant and buddy, Arthur N. Jagemann and his wife, Babs; three sisters, Jane Seiler and her husband, Irv, Anna Mae Logan, Mitzie Skrepenski and her husband, Allen; one brother-in-law, Alvin Omernick; one sister-in-law, Ann Bukolt. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 12:00 Noon Thursday until the time of service at 1 p.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center is assisting the Omernick family with arrangements.
