William "Bill" Ray Thompson
September 12, 1939 Mr. William “Bill” Ray Thompson age 80, of Mt.Vernon, Ky. passed away on Friday December 20, 2019 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was born on September 12, 1939 in Maretburg, Kentucky the son of the late William Lloyd and Bonnie Hazel Bradley Thompson. He was a retired dry waller, a U.S. Army Veteran, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors are: His wife of 58 years; Mrs. Carolyn “Gail” Elliott Thompson, two brothers; Roger Thompson and (Donna), and Larry Thompson and (Carolyn), one sister; Nancy Sigmon and (Bill Gene), and two special nieces; Makaylee and Makenna McNally also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Parkey Thompson and (Helen), and Garry Thompson and Susan.

Funeral services for Mr. William “Bill” Ray Thompson will be held at 1 PM on Monday December 23, 2019 at the Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Offutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Rimmell Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 AM until time of service on Monday.
