Robert E. Poole, Sr. 76, Rockville, passed away Thursday evening. He was born in Putnam County, IN on April 25, 1931, the son of Ila Richard and Thelma Clampett Poole. He worked as a Waste Treatment Manager for Western Electric for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He then worked in Hardware Sales at the Greencastle Wal-Mart for five years. He was a member of the NRA, American Legion and Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include daughters, Vicki Poole, Dayton, IN and Deborah Bravard, New Palestone, IN; son, Robert E. Poole, Jr.; five grandchildren; brother, Cecil Poole, Rockville; sisters, Patricia Miller, Lafayette, May Hampton, Margie Crowley, KY, Marie Melton, Bloomington and eight step-brothers and sisters.
Services were entrusted to Chandler Hayes Funeral Home of Greencastle, Indiana.
