Louise "Dolly" Sheraski, age 94, passed away on October 12,2011, in Las Vegas, NV.


Dolly was born in Manitowoc Rapids July 27, 1917, daughter of Louis and Alice Coutley Gauthier. She was preceded in death by her son, James; sisters: Viola , Dorothy and Sylvia Gauthier; brothers: Earl, Carl, Edward, Richard; and nephew, Dennis Gauthier, and former husband, Edward.


Dolly lived in Manitowoc and was employed as a supervisor at Lapcor Plastics until retirement. She began a second career working with plants and flowers at Plumb Nursery and Rohrbach's Greenhouse. She celebrated her 80th birthday with friends and family, then moved to live in Henderson, NV. She lived on the same street as actor Tony Curtis and often visited him with gifts of chicken soup and cookies.


Dolly enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making many afghans and baby christening gowns. She enjoyed displaying her doll and ceramic collections and tending her plants and flowers. Outdoor birds, tropical fish and the family dog, Corky, always made her smile.


Her kitchen was a busy place for family gatherings when she made delicious BBQ ribs, cole slaw, German potato salad and peanut butter balls. Dolly enjoyed sharing a glass a beer and conversation when watching Packer games. Visitors to her house always went away with bags of cookies or other treats.


Dolly is survived by sisters: Alice Khail and Elaine Holschbach, Manitowoc; daughters: Lynne (Greg) Enerson of Henderson, NV and Jeanne Likes of Glendale, WI; five grandchildren: Dawn Klassen , Ashburn, VA, Dana (Vic) Etyemezian, Las Vegas, NV, Bret (Yennis) Enerson, San Gabriel, CA, Auralee Likes, Winona, MN and Eric Likes, St. Paul, MN; and three great-grandchildren: Anouk and Enaara Etyemezian and Paxton Enerson.


Also surviving are nephews: Steven Khail, Joe and David Holschbach, Edward Jr. and Gene (Lori) Gauthier; and nieces: Michelle May, Mary Brault, Susan LaViolette, Ruth Ann Brouchoud.


The family memorial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to local hospice programs.
