Marvin M. Adkins, 41, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Hinton, died Friday at 9:15 p.m. at home after a long illness.

Born Feb. 21, 1940, in Summers County, he was a son of the late Beulah G. and Thelma Adkins.

Mr. Adkins had lived in Ohio for 25 years. He was a Dockman at Roadway Express for the past 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Adkins of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Marvin J. of Akron and Michael Ray, stationed with the U.S. Army in New York; stepmother, Mrs. Charlene Adkins of Hinton; one brothers, Richard, David and Daniel all of Hinton; and Curtis of North East Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Louise Cole of Akron, Ohio; and one grandson Marvin Lee Adkins.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:00 at the Canysfield Hichman Funeral Home in Barberton, Ohio with Bill Wisdom officiating. Burial followed in the Lakewood Cemetery in Akron, Ohio
