(1949 - 2005)

Anthony (T.J.) Junk Sr., age 55, of 3117 Gass Lake Road, Manitowoc, died Monday, July 18, 2005, at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Aug. 10, 1949, in Manitowoc, son of Andrew Junk and the late Mardel (Korbol) Junk. On Aug. 12, 1967, he married the former Linda Copiskey in Manitowoc. Tony was employed at Richter Vinegar and then at Color Craft Graphic Arts as a warehouse supervisor until his illness.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Junk, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony E. Jr. and Tracy Junk, Sturgeon Bay; one daughter and son-in-law: Doreen and Chris Maes, Manitowoc; four granddaughters: Brittany and Carly Junk, Sierra and Samantha Maes; one brother and sister-in-law: Allen and Jeanette Junk, Manitowoc; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean and Butch Crow, Shawano; Joan and Lee Meyer, Manitowoc; Janet and Dave Schnick, Egg Harbor; one brother-in-law: Jay Copiskey, Sturgeon Bay; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Junk, Manitowoc; his mother-in-law: Elizabeth Copiskey, Sturgeon Bay; a special niece: Dawn Wilker, Manitowoc; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive. Tony was also preceded in death by his mother: Mardel Junk; an infant brother: Andrew; a brother: Raymond; and his father-in-law: Wesley Copiskey.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Cremation has taken place.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005 until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Tony enjoyed flying after he achieved his private pilot license. He enjoyed motorcycling, playing cards and fishing with his family, especially his yearly trip to the cottage in Door County. The biggest joy of his life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
