Phyllis Jean Dillman, 90, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on September 26, 1929 in Sedalia, Clinton County, Indiana, she is the daughter to the late Rolland and Olive Viola (Pullen) Bricker. On August 5, 1951 in Clymers, Indiana she married James Edward Dillman who survives.

Phyllis was a 1948 graduate of Logansport High School. She was also a member of the VFW 3789 Ladies Auxiliary and former member of Clymer’s United Methodist Church.

Phyllis had worked in the cafeteria at Logansport High School. She was often referred to as the cake lady because of her talent of baking and supplying cakes for weddings and other special events.

Surviving along with her husband Jim, are two daughters; Patty (Bob) Thompson, Bonaire, GA; Lou Ann (Bruce) Holcomb, Logansport; five grandchildren, Troy (Nikki) Thompson; Amy (Chris) Howe, Andrew (Christina) Thompson, Jamie Dillman and Braxton Holcomb; and four great grandchildren, Landon Howe, Braydon Howe, Dylan Thompson, Ian Thompson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and William Bricker.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Carolyn DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Logansport.
