HERBERT P. SCHEIDT
(1928 - 2005)
Herbert P. Scheidt, age 77, formerly of Manitowoc and now Wausau, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau with the living death of Alzheimer's since 2001.
Herbert was born March 22, 1928 in the town of Centerville, Manitowoc County, son of the late Peter and Alvera (Ramminger) Scheidt. Herb worked on the family farm until 1978 and during that time, hauled milk with his brother Norman for 10 years. After retiring form the farm, Herb worked for Lakeside Packing Company for another 10 years and with Krueger International until his retirement. In November of 1974, he married Evelyn H. Rosso Haupt at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. They resided in Manitowoc until Herb's onset of Alzheimer's. Evelyn has always been close by and is living with her niece and nephew-in-law: Kaye and Jerry Schwartz, Wausau. Herbert is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Manitowoc.
Survivors include his loving wife: Evelyn, Wausau; his niece: Kaye (Jerry) Scshwartz, Wausau; his brother: Norman Scheidt, Austin, Minn.; his sister: Mary (Bob) Kohls, Burnsville, MN; sister-in-law: Bernice Rosso, Newton and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Herb is preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Marcella Scheidt; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harvey (Rose Brezoni) Rosso and Clarence (Norma) Rosso.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South Eighth St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas Wojciechowski, O.F.M. will officiate with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at Jens Family Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. to the time of service at 12:30pm.
