AUGUST 4, 1925 – DECEMBER 22, 2019
Bella Mae Dyer, age 94 entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday December 22, 2019, surrounded by family. She was born on August 4, 1925 in Lafayette, La. and moved with her family to Houston as a young child. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin high school and was a member of the Scottish Brigade. Bella worked for Harris County for thirty years when she retired in 1987. In retirement she enjoyed doing activities with the Senior’s Club at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church where she attended church until she moved to Tomball in 2012 to be closer to family. She was always a kind and giving person who thought about other people’s needs before her own. It is told she was a mother figure to many during the years she worked for Harris County . Bella was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Herschel Dyer; her parents Mitchell and Aline Boudreaux; sister Anna Belle and brother Sidney. She is survived by daughter Diana Randolph; sister Eloise Cathcart; grandson Chris Randolph; great grandchildren Blake and Weston; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bella touched so many lives in many different ways. Her laughter and her jokes will be greatly missed, not only by her immediate family but her extended family at Southern Knights Assisted Living. They brought her love and joy in so many ways by the stories they would share with her about their animals and children. Special thank you to everyone at Southern Knights for the loving care and kind hearts you showed her daily for the past two years
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choice in her name.
