Mrs. Barbara Ann Richardson, daughter of the late Johnny Carter and Elizabeth Davis Carter English was born on August 7, 1944 in Eutawville, SC.
She graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx in 1962. She then entered into the work force working for the New York Telephone Co. for several years. Later she gained employment with the United States Postal Service and stayed for over 25 years until her retirement from the Hillside post office, Bronx, NY, in 2001.
Barbara was united in Holy Matrimony to Fred Wallace Richardson, Jr. on June 18, 1966, in which they shared 36 years together until she departed. Born to this union were two sons.
She was raised as a faithful Jehovahs Witness. She had a deep concern for the welfare of others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her.
Surviving are: husband, Fred Wallace Richardson, Jr., of Scarsdale, NY; sons: Fred W. Richardson III of Scarsdale, NY, Travis E. Richardson of Yonkers, NY; stepdaughter Shelley Currie and son-in-law Bobby Currie of Apex, NC; daughter-in-law, Shee Morgan of Yonkers, NY and Janet Lares of Fishkill, NY; grandchildren, Fred W. IV, Justin L.
