Born on 25 Sep 1941 in Lego, WV she was the daughter of the late Lenzie Virgil Basham and Gladie Olive Basham.
Shelby was a homemaker, and a member of Westview Missionary Baptist Church in Odd, WV.
She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Keaton; son, Joseph Glenn II; granddaughter Kristina Glenn; 2 brothers, Kenneth and his wife Mary Ellen, and David (Bo); 2 sisters, Linda Mae, and Alice Meadows.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter; Deborah Ballard and husband Roger, of Odd, WV, 7 grandchildren, Lindsay Bongalis and husband Jason, Heather Dumire and husband Thomas; Roger Ballard, Joey Glenn, Faith Sizemore and husband David, Charity and Abigail Glenn; 6 great grandchildren; Siblings, Vernon (Buz) Basham and wife Adine, Ginny Basham, Mary Grose and husband Wes, and Carl Meadows; Several nieces and nephews also survive along with her loving little dog Babydoll.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Saturday, 4 Jan 2020 at 11 AM . Burial will follow at Coal City Community Cemetery at Coal City, WV.
