The Michigan Death Certificate states Josephine was buried at the Holy Family Cemetery. In 1900, a parishioner donated one acre of land for a parish cemetery to the Holy Family Catholic Church. Josephine was buried there. However, in the 1940's the church burned and most of the records were destroyed. The church gave the land to Escanaba Township in 1946 and the records were then re-recorded. The cemetery currently is name the Flat Rock Cemetery, aka Escanaba Township Cemetery.
Josephine was moved to to Gardens of Rest Cemetery in 1946 to a plot purchased by their daughter Leontine in 1940.
