Avis is survived by two sons, David (Robyn) Bartlett and Joel (Danielle) Bartlett, all of Watertown; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard Erwin; her companions Don Barnes and Bob Green; a stepdaughter Linda (Robert) Saiff, a brother Kent Wicks; sisters Arah Meeks, Ariel Lane, Ardis Chimber and Arla Sasenbury. A marriage to Raymond Bartlett ended in divorce.
Avis was born in Theresa, a daughter to Earl and Vara Townsend Wicks. She was a licensed practical nurse, licensed in New York State and Florida. She spent winters on the Florida East Coast to include Vero Beach and Fort Lauderdale for many years.
