Military Honours for Late Veteran

Full military honours were accorded the late Arthur William Bailey on July 13, by members of the Canadian Legion. Mr. Bailey passed away in the Western Hospital on July 10 following a heart seizure. He was residing at Poyntz Ave. Willowdale at the time.

Until recently, Mr. Bailey was a resident of Spruce Ave., Richvale, where he was well-known. Born in England, he was a Bio-Chemistry Lab Technician and had been employed at the Western Hospital for the past 25 years. A war veteran and a member of the Canadian Legion, Mr. Bailey attended St. Mary's Anglican Church, Richmond Hill. He was predeceased by his wife two years ago and is survived by one sister in Chicago.

The funeral service on July 13 was conducted by the Rev. A.A. Chote and interment was in Richmond Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Reg. Baker, Wally Baker, Leslie Porter, John Donaldson, Tom Evans and Neil McDonald.
