"FRED W. SCARBROUGH
Fred W. Scarbrough, 76, Terre Haute, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 1995, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Terre Haute, to Fred and Anna Sons Scarbrough. He was retired from International Minerals Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 404.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Scarbrough, Robert Scarbrough, Ray Scarbrough and Harold Scarbrough; and two sisters, Helen Wright and Mabel Sons.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Scarbrough; three sons, Jack Scarbrough, Graysville, Richard Scarbrough, Terre Haute, and Robert Scarbrough, Brazil; one daughter, La Ray Danner, Terre Haute; two sisters, Alma Jones, Terre Haute, and Esther Walbertson, Shoals; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the DeBaun Springhill Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Fletcher officiating. Burial is in New Harmony Cemetery with graveside military rites by American Legion Post 404. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of the Wabash Valley, Inc. 686 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, Ind. 47807."
