Newton A. Hoak died very suddenly in Houlton, Thursday of last week. Mr. Hoak was in Houlton buying potatoes for Boston Markets, and was writing at a desk in the office of Leland O. Ludwig, when he passed away. Heart disease was the probable cause. He was a member of the firm of Charles A. Kimball & Co. of Boston, Commission Merchants and did a fine business. he was a native of Waldoboro, being the brother of Moses T. Hoak of this place. Though Mr. Hoak left here when a young man, he had made many warm friends, who will always remember him as an upright business man, a man liked and respected by all. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, one brother and one sister. The News extends its sympathy.
