Stanley attended Zion Lutheran School and Brighton High School, then went on to Colorado State University where he graduated with a BS in Agricultural Education. He was a substitute teacher for many years, teaching biology and agriculture in high school and middle school. While doing so, he ran his family farm, which was his passion. He was a hard worker with a great sense of humor. He was always very generous, helping friends and acquaintances even when he had little himself. He was an animal lover and raised cattle and chickens, selling milk and eggs and making his own cheese. There were always pets in his life, including several dogs, countless cats, and even a raccoon. On the farm, Stanley also grew corn and alfalfa. He had recently introduced beekeeping to his farm and was planning to bring in water buffalo. He was survived by his sister, Loree Winn of Franktown. Funeral services held January 13th at Zion Lutheran Church in Brighton.
