Patricia Rossey Polk of Jackson, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at the Westbury Medical Care Home where she had resided for the past seven years. She was born in Miami, Fla., daughter of the late Forrest C. Rossey, Sr., and Annie Lillian Jamerson Rossey. She was married to Charlie Max Polk who died in 1968. She attended Jackson High School and the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. Pat was an accomplished florist and owned and operated Pace's Flower Shop in Jackson for over 35 years. She was a wedding coordinator and decorated many businesses and homes for the holiday seasons. She was a former member of the Jackson Business and Professional Women's Organization. Pat was an avid Georgia Tech fan and loved to fish.
Survivors include her companion of many years, W. L. "Cotton" Vaughn; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tandi Polk; granddaughter, Penelope and John Herman and their children, Jack and Olivia; sister, Audrey Jamerson Halley; brother and sister-in-law, Forrest C. "Bud" Rossey and Phyllis, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her son, William Clifford Polk , in 1972.
Funeral services for Patricia Rossey "Pat" Polk were held Saturday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson. Dr. Ed Hoard officiated with interment in the Jackson City Cemetery.
