Darla Dean Riggs, 73, went to her heavenly home on January 10, 2020 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on October 16, 1946 in Pasadena, Texas to parents Jewel Inez (Winn) and Leslie Leo Gaylord, Jr. Darla graduated from Pasadena High School in 1965. She worked at Anderson Plumbing for many years as the office manager. Darla enjoyed traveling, especially cruising. She was also an avid horseman and loved riding horses. Darla loved her family, and especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Darvin Riggs. Darla is lovingly survived by her children, Dusti Hopkins and husband Christopher, Franklin Riggs, Danny Riggs and wife Sarah; uncle and aunt, Thurmond and Cheryl Gaylord; grandchildren, Christopher Hopkins, Jr, Daniel Riggs, Steven Riggs, Kali Riggs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A celebration of Darla’s life officiated by Rev. Larry Hargrave will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in the chapel of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
