John C. Vidlicka of Pittston died Friday at Hospice of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.

His wife, Germaine Rodola, died on Jan. 6, 2003.

He was born on May 11, 1916, in Jenkins Township, son of the late Vasil and Julia Vidlicka.

He attended Jenkins Township High School.

He was employed by Chamberlain as a machinist, prior to retirement.

He also worked in area coal mines.

He was a member of the Polish Club, Dupont, and a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Dupont.

Surviving is sons, John and Virginia Vidlicka, Pittston; Dan Vidlicka, Laflin; grandchildren, Jack Vidlicka and Cheryl Miller; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Michael Vidlicka; sisters, Dianna Moore, Mary Wandrick, and Susan Danko.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 from Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Township Blvd., Pittston Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Pittston.

The entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

A viewing will be held Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
