Donald E. Abney, the son of Lloyd and Nellie (Parrott) Abney, born February 8, 1955, in West Plains, MO, passed away on April 6, 2007, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
He was united in marriage on August 19, 2006, to Sheryl Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sheryl; one daughter, Heather Abney of Willard; two grandsons; siblings, Roy Abney and wife, Kay; Pat Macormack and husband, Joe; Kim Deckard and Ronnie Abney, all of Springfield, MO; Robin Shelton and husband Doug of Willard, MO; stepchildren, Tonya, Tracy, Teri and Tina; three step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte.
