He attended Mesa High where he was a 3 sports Letterman in track, baseball and football. He was inducted in the Mesa City Sports Hall of Fame in November 1992. He met and married Beatrice Tiger in 1953 to union 5 children were born.
He was a great father who loved cooking, especially his chicken and beans and loved cracking jokes. He was the last matriarch living.
Sterling passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Bonner and his son Ronnee Bonner. He leaves behind to cherish his memories Debra (Calvin), Sterling Jr. (Shirley), June (Willie), Gary (Kim) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
