As a young man, Ira worked in the paper mill in Panama City. Also, he worked in the space program then as an electrician and a project supervisor at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for 10 years.
He loved to fish and go camping with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Aline of 69 years; sons, Larry McQuagge and Gary McQuagge, all of Kissimmee, Florida; granddaughter, Tara Godfrey of Longwood, Florida; grandsons, Troy McQuagge of St. Cloud, Florida and Craig McQuagge of Kissimmee, Florida; great grandchildren, Kylie McQuagge, Kellan McQuagge, Kaiden McQuagge, Livia Godfrey and Carly McQuagge.
The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020. Interment will be held on Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m.
