The death certificate for Fannie states she died at age 38 yrs 6 mos on the fourth day following an abortion. She died of puerperal septicemia with a contributing factor of carconomter for three years. Her daughter Erma remembered only being told she had been walking along a riverbank, fell and later died and never really knew what she died from. Fannie, she was told was an excellent seamstress. She was listed as ‘Fannet’ on her death certificate.

The death certificate stated she was the daughter of Luther Bowen and his wife Lella Jackson.

After her death, her husband Uriah George Warren remarried three months later on 20 March 1921 in Carroll County GA, Exer (Exie) Ashley Stone, the daughter of George Stone and Ellenda Williamson.
