Arline C. Conrad, 79, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Laflin Road, Laflin, died Tuesday at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
Born March 9, 1921, in Ashley, she was the daughter of the late Louis C. and Mary A. (Boyle) Conrad. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a registered nurse, joining in 1943. She retired with the rank of captain in 1974 after a 31-year career in nursing service administration. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Parish, Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis and James.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the McLaughlin Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Leo's Church, Manhattan Street, Ashley. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call 8:30 a.m. to service time Friday. Memorial donations may be made to St. Leo's Parish, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley, 18706-2309.
