Lenton M. "Mike" Steele of Stockbridge passed away on February 12, 2005. Mr. Steele was born on November 2, 1918, in College Park, GA. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn B. Steele. He is survived by his son Will Steele; daughter-in-law Allison Steele; grandchildren Lindsey and Max Steele, and nephew, Bobby Steele and his wife Rita Steele. Visitation will be on Tuesday February 15, 2005 at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Conyers, GA. Mr. Steele served in the United States Army in the 3710 Trucking Company in Europe during World War II. He managed then owned an auto parts warehouse and store from just after the war until 1981. He was a long-time member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Conyers.
