William Henry was the son of Benjamin Farmer and Mary Jane "McGee" Stephens. On 19 Dec 1888, he married (1) Ida Lenora Harrison, daughter of John and Amanda "Fortner" Harrison. They were the parents of six children. After Ida's death in 1910, he married her sister, (2) Alice "Allie" [Harrison] Hardy on 14 May 1912. Then after Allie's death in 1917, he married (3) Monella Henley Reed.
