She was the first of three children born to Ludwig Huso and the former Olga Floe. She grew up on the home farm near Cottonwood, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1950. She furthered her education at Augustana College, Mankato Commercial College, and graduated with a B.S. Degree from Mankato State University in 1956. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education in 1960 and a Ph.D. in Animal Therapy in 1997. On Dec. 15, 1954 she married Roy William Bjorklund in a civil ceremony at Rolla, MO, and were re-married on Aug. 12, 1956 at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Cottonwood, MN, but later divorced. On July 2, 1961 she married Lloyd Donald Anderson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. They had a daughter, Lisa. She was an elementary teacher for 50 years. She began her teaching career in Waterville Public Schools. She taught there for seven years before transferring to the Mankato School District where she taught until retiring in 2000, but she continued to substitute teach in Mankato until 2007. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1961, serving as a Sunday School and Art teacher. She was a charter member of Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society beginning in 1980, serving on the board of directors since 1981. In addition, she was a foster home for abandoned animals and the BENCHS representative for the Adoption Partners Agreement with PETCO since 2008. She was also an original member of Therapy Dogs International, Chapter 24, since 1984. As an animal therapist, she consulted with many people on animal behavior problems. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; her sister, Ruth Leaf; and stepson, Donald Anderson; and sister-in-law, Lois Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Meunier; granddaughter, Jennifer Street; stepsons Brian (Emma) Anderson and Thomas (Leslie) Anderson; brother Harold (LaVonne) Huso; brother-in-law, Kenneth Anderson.
