Mrs. Ossie Akers Hylton, age 96, of 4809 Rutgers St., N.W., died Wednesday, February 19, 1992.

She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.

She was the widow of A.L. (Ham) Hylton.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mildred H. Stone, Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Elmer H. Hylton and wife, Lois C. Hylton, Roanoke; three grandchildren, Lana McCulloch, Vinton; Brenda Keffer, Roanoke; Charles Douglas Hylton, Salem; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lelia Harman, Floyd.

Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 21, with the Rev. Michael Chandler and the Rev. Paul E. Alwine officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
