Mrs. Wanda Lee Hill, 76, of Belton, TX., formerly of Quincy, died at 9:06 a.m. Friday (May 4, 2007) at her home in Belton, TX.
Born June 21, 1930 in Bevier, Missouri, Wanda was the daughter of Dolph and Alice Marie Strahman Miller. She married Clifford A. Hill on December 7, 1946 in Creston, Iowa. He preceded her in death.
Wanda enjoyed playing bingo, shopping and dancing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.
Mrs. Hill was employed at Motorola, Blessing Hospital and Sheller-Globe in Quincy. She was then employed at Airborne in Georgetown, Texas until her retirement in 1986.
Surviving are three daughters, Shelly Blair and her husband Jesse and Christine Bowen, both of Belton, TX. and Cherie Zamorsky of Quincy; thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Reddick and her husband Ralph of Quincy; a brother, Gerald Fielding and his wife Eunice of Tioga, IL.; a step sister, Margarie Hubbs of Kingman Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford A. Hill; two sons, David and Gary Hill; a son in law, Earl Eric Bowen; two sisters, Maxine Weiske and Ella Miller; four brothers, William Miller, John R. Miller, Larry Fielding and infant brother James Fielding; a step sister, Dorothy Ontis; and a step brother, Joe Fielding.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Wanda Lee Hill Memorial Fund.
