ALBERT P BOOTH BELOVED FORMER RESIDENT DIES
Was Widely Known Here And Noted For Loyalty Of Friendships

Sacramento lost one of her best known and most beloved residents yesterday in the death in San Francisco of Albert Paul Booth who although he removed to San Francisco more than twenty years ago maintained his lodge affiliations and numerous friendships In this city. Booth was the president of the N Gray undertaking firm in San Francisco and his name is still retained in the company of Clark Booth & Yardley in Sacramento.
The funeral services will he held in San Francisco from the N Gray & Company chapel. The arrangements are to be completed late this afternoon.
Active In Masonry
Booth was a member of Washington Lodge No 20 Free and Accepted Masons, of the Woodmen of the World, of the Knights Templar in Sacramento and of Islam Temple of the Mystic Shrine in San Francisco. He was also a member of Sacramento Council No I Royal and Select Mason.
Began career Here
The deceased came to Sacramento from his native Iowa as a young boy and in his earlier career in this city was employed as a clerk at the Southern Pacific Railroad shops. The late Mayor George Clark was a partner later of Booth in the undertaking business and Booth at the time of his death was still a director in the Sacramento firm. Booth leaves his widow Mrs Mary Batcher Booth: a daughter Mrs Elsie Booth Bates of Fresno, a granddaughter Barbara Bates and two brothers F E Booth of San Francisco and Alfred V Booth of Chicago.
Frequent Visitor
Booth made frequent visits from the bay to Sacramento after his remove there to engage in business. Booth was known to his wide circle of acquaintances here as a man of the most loyal friendships. He was noted not only for never forgetting a friend but likewise for continuing the closest friendships over long periods of years without waning. On the occasion of practically every one of his numerous visits to Sacramento he spent hours in making the rounds of his legion of friends.
Family Life Ideal
The family life was a reflection and an intensification of his social life, the family circle enjoying great happiness. In business and fraternal circles Booth established a reputation for the methodical and painstaking manner in which he performed every task that fell to him. This ability to assume and carry out responsible duties along with his jovial disposition and kind friendliness made him a favorite in business as in society. Booth never forgot a kindness done him never forsook a friend and never passed over an opportunity to repay a kindness
