He was born June 10, 1935, in Kingwood, a son of the late Henry Clay and Ruth Pearl Mayfield Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was a Results Technician for Mon Power and was a graduate of Kingwood High School and attended WVU. He was a member of the Albright Baptist Church, where he served in many capacities, one being a Sunday School teacher for many years. He was also ordained.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice Faye Sterling Snyder; two sons, Dan Snyder and wife, Betsy of Elkview and Ken Snyder and wife, Diana of Morgantown; two daughters, Robin Ramsey and husband, Gene of Murrysville, PA and Cathy Robinson and husband, Tommy of Kingwood; two brothers, Edgar Snyder of Kingwood and Donald Snyder and wife, Mary of Greensburg, PA; two sisters, his twin Tillie Wolf and husband, John of Reedsville and Becky Currie of Warren, OH; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister Pauline Durst.
The family will receive friends at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018. On Saturday, February 17, 2018 Mr. Snyder will be moved to the Albright Baptist Church to lie in repose from 12 noon to 1 pm the funeral hour with Pastor Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.
