Mrs. Maxine M. Reed Wiland McMahon, age 66, of West Pike Street,
Clarksburg, WV passed away Saturday morning, December 8, 2007, at her
home following an extended illness. Despite her illness, she was brave and
had been determined to get well. Maxine was born in Barbour County, WV
August 12, 1941 a daughter of the late Clifford “Buck” Reed and Ruby Blake Reed.
Her husband, Harry “Hank” McMahon, whom she married August 11, 1979,
preceded her in death.
Surviving are, her two sons, Hobert Samuel “Sam” Wiland and Michael Todd Reed,
both of Clarksburg, WV, her stepson, Paul McMahon, Pompano Beach, FL, three
grandchildren, Angie, Debbie and Rick Puglese, two great grandchildren, Mike &
Santana Puglese, her brothers, Charles Reed, Warren, OH, Mike Reed, Parker, PA,
Dayton & Eddie Reed, of NC and Jimmy Hoffman, Philippi, WV, her Aunt Mary
Hoffman, Moatsville, WV, a special cousin, Edna Mae Robinson, Milton, WV,
several nieces & nephews and also her first husband, William F. Wiland, Grafton,
WV.
Mrs. McMahon was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Reed & Carl
Cochran and a beloved sister, Nellie Baucum.
Maxine was Methodist by faith. She had worked very hard all of her life and will
be sadly missed by her friends and extended family. She was retired from the
Endicott-Johnson Shoe Factory in Forest City, PA and Family Services of Marion
& Harrison County, where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Per her request, she will be cremated. There will be no visitation or services.
