She was born in Weston on October 18, 1940: daughter of the late George Craig and Mary M. (Amos) Craig. In 1963, Jackie married Harold Felix Hamrick, who preceded her in death on June 26, 2011.
Jackie is survived by two daughters, Pam Rumbach and husband, Jim and Tammy Thompson and companion, Duane Poling; two sons, Tim Hamrick and wife, Lori and William Hamrick and wife, Stephanie; 12 grandchildren, Blair Richard McCauley, IV, Anthony J. Hamrick, Samantha J. Diringer, Natalie Wyman, Erica Weaver, Jordan Corley, Miriah B. Hamrick, Darcy Closson, Mika Corley, Sydni Corley, Karli Hamrick and Noah Hamick and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by one brother, William Hayward Craig and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Harold, Jackie was preceded in death by two sons, Blair Richard McCauley, III and Michael Hamrick; one granddaughter, Brittney Corley, three brothers, John, George and Shirley Craig and two sisters, Marjorie Harris and Norma Joan Farrington.
Mrs. Hamrick was a glassworker and began as a farm to table family and grew to assisting a family ran restaurant. She attended the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church of Valley Chapel community. Jackie’s hobby was gardening, cooking and canning. She was always busy. Everything they ate was either grown or raised by them.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Steve Jerden speaking. Interment will follow in the family section of the cemetery.
