Joy had worked as an X-ray technician at Wells Community Hospital for several years, and also at Bluffton Regional Medical Center prior to having health problems. She was a 1975 graduate of Southern Wells High School.
A lifelong resident of Wells County, she was born on November 9, 1956 in Wells County. Joy was the daughter of Verlice "Spud" Crosby and Catherine Starr (Minnich) Crosby. She is survived by her mother who resides in Poneto. Her father preceded her in death on May 7, 1997.
She is also survived by her longtime companion Gary Beer; her daughter, Mrs. Toby (Sarah) Shaw of Bluffton, and her son Travis Liddy of Ossian. She is also survived by her brother Dick Crosby of Poneto, and her sister, Mrs. John (Marilyn) Maddox of Keystone, along with her two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her grandparents, Charlie and Ferne (Walker) Crosby, and John and Margaret (Starr) Minnich.
